Announcing: The T3 Scholar Celebration & Postsecondary Kickoff

Join us for the first annual T3 Scholar Celebration & Postsecondary Kickoff! This event will include special guests, laptop giveaways in partnership w/ Dell, entertainment, and virtual information sessions w/ Tarrant County College, The University of Texas at Arlington, Tarleton State University, Texas Christian University, Texas Wesleyan University and the University of North Texas at Dallas.

Hosted by NBC5 anchor, Deborah Ferguson, this event is REQUIRED for all T3 Scholars attending a partner college or university in Fall 2021 and open to all students, including current Fort Worth ISD juniors, no matter your plans after graduation! Family members are welcome and encouraged to participate as well.

Students: Be sure to check your personal email and text messages for registration info! Haven't received? Email support@T3partnership.org for how to sign up. You must be registered and attend the event to be eligible for the laptop giveaway.

Deborah Ferguson | NBC5 News Anchor | Event Host/Emcee

A FWISD graduate, Deborah Ferguson co-anchors NBC5 Today weekday mornings from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. She joined the station in 1991 after starting her journalism career as a reporter/anchor for WBAP Radio in Fort Worth. She’s earned professional recognition throughout her career including a regional Edward R. Murrow Award and a Gracie Award for Outstanding Anchor – News presented by American Women in Radio and Television. Other honors come from American Women in Communications, Association for Women Journalists, the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Dallas Press Club, and the Lone Star EMMY Chapter.

Michael Jr. | Comedian, Author, Actor | Event Keynote

Exceptionally gifted at combining story with thought-provoking life principles, Michael Jr. exhibits what it means to be a comedic thought leader. Using comedy and dynamic storytelling, he brings laughter and encouragement to audiences all over the world as he inspires audiences to discover and activate their purpose. This unique skill set has landed him on stages like The Tonight Show on NBC, Tedx Talks, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. You can find him in Sony Pictures' feature film War Room, as well as starring roles in Selfie Dad, Laughing On Purpose and More Than Funny.
