T3 Program Benefits at TCU

By attending TCU, T3 Scholars receive the following benefits and support to help you to and through your higher education journey:

  • Onboarding Program: Required for scholars attending a partner college/university, there are 2 components to the T3 Onboarding Program to complete before your first semester. Be sure to check your personal email for more info beginning spring semester of your senior year. You will hear directly from TCU regarding Orientation, Frog Camp, and Frogs First.
  • Access to T3 Connect: T3 Connect is a virtual platform to network, stay connected, informed, and engage with T3 staff, T3 ambassadors, representatives at your college, and fellow T3 Scholars. Join or visit T3 Connect TODAY!
  • College Persistence Coaching & Resources:
  • Attend T3 Signature Events held once a semester (Fall and Spring).
  • Community Engagement** (**Required for 3rd/4th year Scholars only).
  • TCU T3 Ambassadors: The T3 ambassador program is run by students, for students. TCU T3 ambassadors are currently enrolled T3 Scholars who serve to connect you to campus resources while building community and belonging. The T3 ambassador program also offers a paid leadership opportunity for enrolled T3 TCU Scholars interested in working with T3. Learn more here.

T3 Scholarships offered at TCU:

  • Last Dollar Scholarships: Eligible T3 Scholars with a family income of $65,000 or less may receive a “last dollar” scholarship to TCU for up to 8 consecutive semesters or the completion of a degree. This scholarship will cover any remaining tuition costs after all Pell grants and/or other federal, state, or institutional aid have been applied. Check out the scholarships page for more details.
    • Eligibility is determined by results of the College Board’s “CSS Profile” application and other supporting documentation. Families with artificially low incomes, resulting from business losses and other income tax allowances, may not be eligible for this scholarship.
    • If eligible for a Last Dollar award, your financial aid offer letter will say "TCU T3 Scholarship" and the amount will vary depending on your tuition gap after all other state, federal and/or institutional aid have been applied.
    • T3 Assistance Grant: May also be awarded to T3 Last Dollar eligible students and is meant to aid in housing and dining cost.
  • First Dollar Scholarships: Income eligible T3 Scholars who complete all requirements will receive a "first dollar" scholarship of $500 per year to assist with any academic or emergency-related expenses. The scholarship is renewable for up to 8 consecutive semesters or the completion of a degree. Check out the scholarships page for more details.

Here's what you need to know:

  • If scholars do not meet income requirements for T3 scholarships, they are still eligible for other program supports.
  • Last Dollar Scholarships are funded, administered and disbursed by the partner university. Connect with the TCU financial aid office to learn more about your eligibility.
  • First Dollar Scholarships are funded, administered and disbursed directly by T3. Eligible students will be contacted by T3 the Spring/Summer of their Senior year in high school with required next steps.

Summer Terms at TCC

Who is eligible?

  • Current T3 Scholars enrolled at a T3 partner university who want to take a TCC summer term only.
  • Note: Students graduating high school this spring and taking courses the summer before their first fall immediately following HS graduation are not eligible.

Criteria

  • Apply to TCC
  • Inform T3 Manager of your intent to take summer classes via T3 Connect
  • Submit FAFSA/TASFA to TCC
  • Have a family income of $120,000 or less
  • Enroll in at least one course during a summer term by the registration deadline
    • Update your TCC degree plan to reflect the classes you will be taking. Need help, connect with an academic advisor here.
  • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, following the minimum SAP requirements necessary
