T3 Program Benefits at TCC

By attending this partner college, T3 Scholars receive the following benefits and support to help you to and through your postsecondary journey:

  • Last Dollar Tuition-Only Scholarship: All eligible T3 Scholars with a family income of $120,000 or less receive a “last dollar” tuition-only scholarship to TCC for up to 8 consecutive semesters or the completion of a certificate or associate degree. This scholarship will cover any remaining tuition costs after all Pell grants and/or other federal, state, or institutional aid have been applied.
  • First Dollar Scholarships/ Emergency Funding: First dollar scholarships are not available to T3 Scholars attending TCC. However, T3 Scholars attending TCC will have access to TCC’s Student Emergency Assistance Fund (SEAF). Scholars have access to additional funding and the amount depends on your application and approved expenses.
  • Onboarding Program: Required for scholars attending a partner college/university, there are 2 components to the T3 Onboarding to complete before your first semester. Be sure to check your personal email for more info beginning spring semester your senior year. You will hear directly from TCC about the required T3 + TCC Bridge program.
  • College Persistence Coaching & Resources:
    • T3 Scholars meet with a designated T3 Persistence Coach as determined by TCC at least 2x per semester (required for first-year scholars)
    • Attend T3 Signature Events held once a semester (Fall and Spring required for first-year scholars)
    • Have access to T3 Connect, a virtual platform to network, stay connected, informed, and engage with community mentors
  • Transfer Resources: Should you choose to transfer to a T3 partner college/university, transfer student support and resources will be available throughout your transition. Learn more about transfer student resources here.

Here's what you need to know about Last Dollar Scholarships at TCC:

  • If scholars do not meet income requirements for T3 scholarships, they are still eligible for other program supports
  • Last Dollar Scholarships at TCC are funded by T3 but administered and disbursed by the partner institution
  • If eligible for a Last Dollar award, your financial aid offer letter will say "T3 Scholarship" and the amount will vary depending on your tuition gap after all other state, federal and/or institutional aid have been applied
  • First Dollar Scholarships are only available to eligible scholars attending a partner university, not TCC

Continued Eligibility:

  • Register for a minimum of 9 credit hours each semester (fall and spring) toward your credential/degree or academic success plan ((We recommend you register for 12 credit hours in the event you need to drop a class)
  • Complete and submit your FAFSA/TASFA each year by the program deadline
  • Maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA

Summer Terms:

  • Who is eligible?
    • Current T3 Scholars enrolled at TCC for fall and spring terms
    • Current T3 Scholars enrolled at a T3 partner university who want to take a TCC summer term only
    • Note: Students graduating high school this spring and taking courses the summer before their first fall immediately following HS graduation are not eligible
  • Criteria (Effective Summer 2022)
    • Apply to TCC
    • Submit FAFSA/TASFA to TCC
    • Have a family income of $120,000 or less
    • Enroll in at least one course during a summer term by the registration deadline
    • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, following the minimum SAP requirements necessary
