T3 Program Benefits at UTA

By attending this partner university, T3 Scholars receive the following benefits and support to help you to and through your postsecondary journey:

  • Last Dollar Tuition-Only Scholarships: All eligible T3 Scholars with a family income of $85,000 or less receive a “last dollar” tuition-only scholarship to UTA for up to 8 consecutive semesters or the completion of a degree. This scholarship covers any remaining tuition costs and mandatory fees after all Pell grants and/or other federal, state, or institutional aid have been applied. Learn more on the UTA website!
  • First Dollar Scholarships: All income eligible T3 Scholars will receive a "first dollar" scholarship of $500 per year to assist with books or other academic-related expenses. Check out the scholarships page for the details.
  • Onboarding Program: Required for scholars attending a partner college/university, there are 2 components to the T3 Onboarding Program to complete before your first semester. Be sure to check your personal email for more info beginning spring semester your senior year. You will hear directly from UTA about Orientation and Maventure Camp.
  • College Persistence Coaching & Resources:

    • T3 Scholars meet with a designated T3 Persistence Coach as determined by UTA at least 2x per semester or as determined by UTA (required for first-year scholars)
    • Attend T3 Signature Events held once a semester (Fall and Spring required for first-year scholars)
    • Have access to T3 Connect, a virtual platform to network, stay connected, informed, and engage with community mentors

  • If scholars do not meet income requirements for T3 scholarships, they are still eligible for other program supports
  • Last Dollar Scholarships are funded, administered and disbursed by the partner university

  • First Dollar Scholarships are funded, administered and disbursed directly by T3

Last Dollar Recipients: Students will receive a hard-copy letter in the mail congratulating recipients by May. They will also receive an email to their UTA email address. If you do not receive the congratulatory letter by May 30, you do not qualify for the T3 Last Dollar Scholarship. Often this is due to missed deadlines or not meeting the income eligibility requirements. There is no appeal process.

Continued Eligibility:

  • Register for a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester (fall and spring); a total of 24 credit hours an academic year required. We recommend you register for 15 credit hours in the event you need to drop a class
  • Complete and submit your FAFSA/TASFA each year by the program deadline
  • Last Dollar Scholarships: Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA
  • First Dollar Scholarships: Maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA
